Here's the Mother Fucking Tea, also known as Here's the MF Tea, refers to a viral TikTok video of a girl in a car drinking Starbucks and then tapping her nails on her phone screen while saying, "Here's the Mother Fucking Tea" before introducing her rant about how glasses aren't an accessory.

Origin

On March 16th, 2019, TikTok user Sammielewiss uploaded the original video (shown below). The video has gained 1.2 million likes, 27,800 comments and 45,200 shares in three weeks.

Spread

The original sound of Sammieleswiss's video was then used in 48,000 videos on TikTok over the next three weeks. On March 17th, 2019, Teapot Stir uploaded a compilation video of "Here's The Mother Fucking Tea" TikTok parodies (shown below). The video gained 75,000 views and 1,000 likes in three weeks.

Parodies of the original video on TikTok usually involves altering props. On March 24th, @Matthewrichardson posted a parody that gained 32 244,300 likes in a week (shown below, left). On March 26th, @jacksonjansen uploaded another parody that garnered 258,300 likes in a week (shown below, center). March 29th, @nightmraes posted a video that gained 245,300 likes in a week (shown below, right).

In early April, Twitter users began passing around the original video and mostly commented on how annoyed they were with it. Edited versions also began to pop up on YouTube. On April 2nd, @RealYungCripp^[1] tweeted, "me: ,the sleep paralysis demon in the corner of my room: wiggles cup sips swallows HERE'S!!! TAP TAP THE MF!!! TAP TAP TEA!!!" (shown below, left). The tweet accumulated 2,230 likes and 340 retweets in two days. On April 3rd, @bfly_twt^[1] tweeted, "im not a violent person but istg the “here’s the mf tea” girl might change that" (shown below, right). The tweet gained 390 likes in a day.
