Origin

On January 4th, 2023, TikToker^[1] @cssduran posted a video where she dances to a sped-up version of "Her Way" by PARTYNEXTDOOR with another person, garnering over 3.2 million views in a month (shown below). It is unclear if this is the original video to do the dance, but is the earliest apparent upload.

Spread

The dance spread over the course of the month. On January 8th, 2023, TikToker^[2] @toohot444you_ posted a video doing the dance, garnering over 1.3 million views in a month and creating the most popular original sound for the dance (shown below, left). On January 20th, TikToker^[3] @silb0017 posted a video doing the dance, garnering over 4 million views in 10 days (shown below, right).

On January 24th, TikToker^[4] @user6023581063742 posted a video of a woman failing to do the dance, wiping out instead, garnering over 12.2 million views in six days (shown below).
