On June 26th, 2023, an anonymous 4chan user posted a caption meme based on a GIF of Billy Herrington in a 2022-2023 Russian invasion of Ukraine discussion on the /pol/[1] board. The image was captioned with a dialogue parodying Volodymyr Zelenskyy's requests for military aid from the United States and other countries (shown below).

The recaptioned GIF caption is based on the earlier version, originally captioned "Hello Allah, it's HAMAS. We need five billion rockets to bomb Jewish children".

The GIF caption was posted in multiple other threads on /pol/ and other 4chan boards in the following months.[2][3]

On October 3rd, 2023, Redditor Exist_Boi posted a video meme in which a video of the United States President Joe Biden during his 2021 swearing-in ceremony was edited so that it is Volodymyr Zelenskyy on large screens in front of him, with the copypasta being voice acted in a humorously exaggerated fashion. The video (shown below) received over 770 upvotes in /r/NonCredibleDefense[4] in one year.

On October 10th, 2023, TikTok[5] user @russiaisaterroriststate4 posted a shitpost edit reusing the audio clip, with the video accumulating over 108,000 views and 11,900 likes in one day (shown below, left). On October 15th, TikTok[6] user malopolskie.ball posted a remixed edit that accrued over 227,000 views and 13,900 likes in one year (shown below, right).
