Have Some More Chicken, Have Some More Pie is a catchphrase and soundbite taken from a viral video of actor Michael McKean, who portrays the character Chuck McGill in the crime drama series Better Call Saul, saying a lyric from Weird Al Yankovic's song "Eat It." Originally a part of a 2020 charity broadcast in which celebrities sang the song line by line, the clip gained virality in memes in late July 2022.

Origin

On May 13, 2020, during COVID-19 lockdowns Mr. Show Zoomtacular Annual Business Call for Charity organized by Bob Odenkirk and David Cross took place. During the broadcast, comedians and actors sang out the song "Eat It" by Weird Al Yankovic line by line, with actor Michael McKean monotonously narrating the line "Have some more chicken, have some more pie." On the same day, the video was uploaded to YouTube,^[1] where it gained over 909,000 views in two years (shown below; Michael McKean's part starts at the 00:48-second mark).

On July 21st, 2022, Redditor Coronaradiata99 uploaded the clip to the /r/okbuddychicanery subreddit,^[2] where it gained over 1,500 upvotes in two months (shown below).

On July 23rd, 2022, YouTuber^[3] waterdependant uploaded an ironic meme based on the clip, pairing it with Vine Thuds and various images illustrating McKean's words (authorship unconfirmed). The video (shown below) received over 86,000 views in two months.

On July 25th, TikToker^[4] dumbuncle then reuploaded the meme, with the post gaining over 410,000 views and 73,000 likes in two months.

Starting in late July 2022, the clip achieved notable prominence as the source material for edits, primarily on YouTube. For example, on July 25th, 2022, YouTuber^[5] bigcheebe posted a meme that received over 355,000 views in two months (shown below, left). On August 25th, YouTuber^[6] the physical embodiment of sleep deprivation posted an edit that gained over 175,000 views in one month (shown below, right).
