About
Hand Over Face Lie Detector / Secret Message or Eyes Over Heaven Hand Trend is a TikTok trend referencing the anime JoJo's Bizarre Adventure where people place their hand over their face and react to a sentence by peering through their fingers to detect a lie, making a W gesture with their pointer and pinky stretched outward with two words between their fingers. Many videos also use a remix of Melanie Martinez song "Paranoia," and copies a hand gesture from the Jojo No Kimyou Na Bouken Eyes Of Heaven TikTok trend. The trend, which is also associated with the hashtags "#eyesoverheaven"[7] and "#handoverface,"[8] began on French TikTok in early October 2022 and spread to other countries in subsequent weeks. The trend also evolved into parody form with people mocking specific videos and using the format to repeat Vine dialogues.
