About

Haha Freak is an exploitable two-panel webcomic and meme format showing a boy in a red shirt pointing and laughing at a goth girl on the top panel and a grown-up version of the same characters years later in the bottom panel, the boy now acting shy looking at the goth girl, who has become attractive to him. The original iteration of the meme was posted to X / Twitter in January 2024 by Spanish artist @HieleraJones, garnering viral spread and inspiring a prominent redraw by artist João Emanoel, which became the subject of further edits over the following months after it was translated to English.
