The post, which jokingly subverted cliche posts about proving one's haters wrong, received over 14,000 reposts and quote posts and 76,000 likes in two days.

Later on the same day, X^[2] user @SevaUT posted the earliest found joke based on the post, quote posting it with the caption, "Gorbachev in August 1991." The post (shown below) received over 530 reposts and 7,900 likes in two days.
