About
Got Another Shorty?, She Ain't Nothing Like Me is a lyric said in the song "Players" by the musical artist Coi Leray, which became a viral lip dub trend and sound on TikTok in late 2022. The audio from the song is often paired with a scene from The Mask in which Jim Carrey's character has his eyes and tongue protruding out of his head as he displays thirst for the person.
Origin
On November 30th, 2022, TikToker Djsmallz732[1] uploaded a TikTok that had the album art for Coi Leray's "Players" single but remixed to have some "Jersey Club" mix added to it, creating the audio that would be sampled over 1.3 million times in one month, with the original video garnering over 580,000 likes in one month (shown below).
Spread
The song remix almost immediately went viral on the platform, spawning a trend in which users set the sound to various videos. For example, TikToker, influencer and hair stylist Doc Dami[2] was one of the first to use the clip from The Mask on December 8th, 2022. The clip was used to show off the hairstyles that he gave his clients, with the text on the screen reading "Girls after they see my clients hair," earning himself over 2 million views in one month (shown below).
On December 19th, 2022, TikToker zaz_truc[3] showcased one of the most common uses for the audio after The Mask clip craze dwindled, setting the sound to a thirst trap post. The audio was used by her along with a dance to showcase how she's "different from other girls," which helped to subsequently ignite a trend in which other girls would follow suit with dancing to showcase their "uniqueness" over others, earning over 4 million likes in two weeks for her video (shown below).
