About
Google, 11 Minutes Later refers to a series of two-panel photoshops. In the first panel, a person uses Google to search a question. A few minutes later, the same person searches a followup question, implying something major has happened in the intervening time.
Origin
On June 11th, 2017, Redditor c0mplexblue[1] posted the first variation to /r/dankmemes, in which the searches are "How to talk to girls" and "How to unpregnant sister." The post gained over 4,700 points (shown below).
Spread
The format continued to trend on /r/dankmemes into the next day, as dozens of users uploaded variations. Some of the most popular include a reference to downloading Roblox, that gained 1,500 points in 20 hours (shown below, left)[3] and a post about Alzheimer's Disease that gained over 12,000 points in 10 hours (shown below, right).[4]
Several hours after the original post, c0mplexblue's post was re-uploaded to /r/MemeEconomy by Kronzit29,[2] where it gained over 510 points in 16 hours. Kronzit29 also made a template. This was the first of several posts that made it onto the subreddit, though it was the most popular (examples shown below).
