Good Girl Bad Girl, often abbreviated as GGBG, is an animated music video featuring a blue angel girl and a red devil girl by Loter, Inc. set to an original song by Joel J. Dahl and De Novo Dahl. The video was posted to YouTube in August 2011 but did not gain significant virality until 2024 when it began to go viral on sites including TikTok and X / Twitter, inspiring fan art and memes based on the animation and its characters, with some shipping the two characters.

Origin

On August 29th, 2011, the Loter, Inc. YouTube[1] channel posted a video titled "GGBG-GoodGirlBadGirl-MusicVideo.mov," garnering over 420,000 views in 12 years (shown below). The clip is an animated music video featuring a devil girl and an angel girl interacting in various ways. It is set to an original song by Joel J. Dahl and performed by De Novo Dahl, which features the lyrics, "Good girl, bad girl, what's it gonna be?"

As early as July 3rd, 2024, TikTokers began sharing clips of the animation on the platform, often as memes. For example, on that day, TikToker[2] @__s0da posted an edit of the animation, captioned, "Us??" garnering over 1.7 million views in a week (shown below, left). That same day, TikToker[3] @bloodmeoutwallece posted an edit that gained over 1.8 million views in a week (shown below, right).
