Good Answer Nephew is a catchphrase derived from a comedy skit by Micah Dailey-White parodying Family Feud, where a contestant's uncle says, "Good answer, nephew," and applauds after his nephew gets the number one surveyed answer of "Dorito" when asked to "name a Mexican dish that ends with '-ito.'" The skit was uploaded in 2024 and became the subject of memes and content, including animations and lip dubs, between 2024 and 2026.

In October 2025, a reaction image attaching the quote to the character Enjin from the manga series Gachiakuta was popularized on social media. The meme became notably popular in the manga's fandom, inspiring further redraws and edits on sites like TikTok, X and Reddit, including edits that alter the caption and Enjin's facial expression.

Origin

On August 15th, 2024, TikToker^[1] @micahdaileywhite posted a comedy skit parodying the game show Family Feud. In the skit, Steve Harvey asks the contestant to give him a "Mexican dish that ends with '-ito.'" The contestant answers, "Dorito." His uncle claps and says, "Good answer, nephew," as "Dorito" appears on the board as the number one surveyed answer. The video gained over 6.1 million views in two years.

For example, on November 23rd, 2024, TikToker^[2] @jala.penguin posted an animation set to the audio based on the animated series Arcane, garnering over 4.4 million views in just over a year.

Gachiakuta Enjin Reaction Image

As early as October 2025, a reaction image started to spread in the Gachiakuta fandom that replaces the text in a speech bubble attributed to an image of Enjin clapping to, "GOOD ANSWER NEPHEW🗣️🗣️🔥," a reference to the video by Dailey-White. The panel comes from Gachiakuta chapter 125.^[3]

It is unconfirmed who made and posted the meme first, but it was largely popularized on Reddit and TikTok, likely originating on the latter as a reaction comment.

The earliest known post to share the meme was made on October 25th, 2025 by Redditor u/Substantial-Gur-8097 in response to a comment on the /r/ShuumatsuNoValkyrie^[4] subreddit reading, "Jarl is so bad," garnering about 17 upvotes in four months.

The meme became increasingly popular as it continued to spread in late 2025 and early 2026. On November 7th, 2025, X^[5] user @AthenVoid posted an animation recreating the video by Dailey-White with Enjin, garnering over 3,000 likes in three months.

On January 20th, 2026, X^[6] user @CANISITY posted the meme, writing, "i can't take this panel in the manga seriously bc i keep seeing this edit. GOOD ANSWER NEPHEW!" garnering over 10,000 likes in a month. Several users commented variations of the meme as replies, featuring altered images and text.

On February 6th, TikToker^[7] @anpan._san posted a video set to the "good answer nephew" audio captioned, "'I know how to summon an entire fandom with one audio,'" garnering over 550,000 views in two weeks. The comment section is filled with versions of the reaction image.

On February 16th, X^[8] user @jankachu posted a collection of variations on the meme, writing, "thinking about urana scrolling through gachitiktok and opening the comments only to be flooded with a bunch of these enjin ‘good answer nephew’ variants then think what the hell sure," garnering over 17,000 likes in three days.

On February 17th, X^[9] user @TruitosArt posted a fully colored version of the Enjin "good answer nephew" meme, captioning it, "GOOD ANSWER NEPHEW🗣️🗣️🔥 (colored)" garnering over 8,300 likes in two days.
