"Go Back To The Club" refers to a line from Francis Ford Coppola's film Megalopolis, spoken by Adam Driver in an off-putting tone. It stems from a scene in which Driver's character Cesar Catilina is arguing with Julie Cicero (Nathalie Emmanuel). The scene became the subject of remixes and parodies on X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok in late September 2024.

On September 27th, 2024, X[1] page @DiscussingFilm posted an exclusive clip from Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolisfilm in which the lead character Cesar (Adam Driver) argues with his love interest Julie (Nathalie Emmanuel), telling her to "Go back to the club" that she came from. The scene (seen below) amassed over 4.8 million views and 10,000 likes in four days.

The tweet by @DiscussingFilm quickly inspired others on X to post remixes and memes over the scene. For example, on September 28th, 2024, X[2] user @cmykjpg posted a remix of Charli XCX's "Club Classics" over the "Go back to the club" clip featuring Adam Driver (seen below), which received more than 332,000 views and 7,400 likes in a week.

On September 30th, 2024, YouTuber[3] user @MurdoinkGS uploaded a green screen version of the Megalopolis scene (seen below), amassing roughly 791 views and 20 likes in a day.

On September 30th, 2024, TikTok[4] user @ceryslovesfilm used the "go back to the club" sound in a video, adding the overlay text "getting all my little tops ready because Adam Driver told me to go back to the club." The post (seen below) received over 78,000 plays and 11,000 likes in a day.
