Glizzy Overdrive (TikTok NPC) refers to the TikTok LIVEs of TikToker and NPC streamer jason.reborn who plays a character called the Glizzbot who, upon receiving over 100 "hot dogs," goes into "glizzy overdrive," stating, "entering glizzy overdrive," and then, pretends to eat hot dogs at a rapid pace. The TikToker started going LIVE in August 2023, earning viral reposts on X.

Origin

On July 17th, 2023, a video was posted to TikTok^[1] showing an NPC streamer doing suggestive movements when receiving a "glizzy" gift on TikTok LIVE, gaining roughly 9,900 plays in one month (shown below, left). On July 18th, an over 81,700 plays TikTok^[2] was posted of another NPC streamer doing a similar "glizzy" celebration, leading to more TikToks^[3] in August 2023 (example shown below, right).

Likely inspired by the precursor "glizzy" celebrations, TikToker^[4] @jason.reborn started going LIVE sometime in August 2023, and included a bit in which he became a robot called the "Glizzbot" which activated after 100 hot dogs were gifted to him. On August 14th, 2023, TikToker^[5] @businessexpense posted the first-known recording of him going into "glizzy overdrive," gaining roughly 37,800 plays and 970 likes in 15 days (shown below).

Spread

On August 25th, 2023, X^[6] user @EverythingOOC posted a recording of an @jason.reborn TikTok LIVE in which he went into "glizzy overdrive." @EverythingOOC captioned the video, "Glizzy Overdrive is crazy 💀," gaining roughly 190,400 likes in four days (shown below).

Soon after, more TikToks^[7]^[8] surfaced of @jason.reborn, even leading to his LIVE's appearance on the H3 Podcast.^[9] Then, on August 29th, 2023, X^[10] user @EverythingOOC quoted their original post with a new video of @jason.reborn's "Glizzbot" in a hot dog costume, gaining roughly 35,800 likes in less than a day (shown below).
