On May 11th, 2024, X^[1] user @RANDOMC_L_EVENT posted an edited picture of Jimmy Fallon hosting The Tonight Show with an empty guest chair, captioning it "Give Jimmy Fallon someone to interview." The post amassed more than 6,300 likes and 1,700 reposts in two days (shown below).

Spread

Just a few days after @RANDOMC_L_EVENT's tweet, several photoshopped edits featuring anime and video game characters being interviewed by Jimmy Fallon were posted on X. For instance, on May 12th, 2024, X^[2] user @TurtleKool122 uploaded a version of the image featuring Spanky Ham from the Drawn Together cartoon (seen below, left), which received roughly 330 likes and 10 reposts in a day.

On May 13th, X^[3] user @oglagold uploaded a version of the image featuring the Vocaloid singer Kagamine Len (seen below, right), which garnered over 2,900 likes and 480 reposts in a few hours.
