About
Gingers Are Black refers to a viral TikTok video by user @scorpiostellyla1meramera in which she claims that all gingers (people with red hair) are Black, no matter their skin color. She elaborated on this in a second video, claiming all gingers are Black because Irish people are descendants of the Haitian deity Brigette Samedi (Maman Brigitte), also noting that Irish people were with Black people "on the plantation." The videos were posted in mid-May 2025 and inspired a meme trend in which ginger people play into the idea of being Black now.
