Gimme A Cheese With Nothin' is a catchphrase and exploitable format taken from a commercial for Polly-O String Cheese from the 1980s, which later became a meme in 2023. The line has been used as an exploitable that adds various text to screencaps from the original commercial, and has also been used to make fan reanimations of the commercial.

Origin

The commercial first aired sometime in the 1980s and was posted to YouTube^[1] on July 19th, 2008, by user TheBigBlackNinja.

In the commercial, three kids go to a pizzeria and tell the man at the counter, named Fred, to give them a pizza with extra cheese, but hold the tomato sauce and crust. Fred looks at them in disbelief and turns back to tell the pizza chef behind him, who is named Jimmy, to "Gimme a cheese with nothin'!" Jimmy looks back, also in disbelief, and replies, "Nothin'!?"

On September 25th, 2023, YouTube^[2] user Fugly Productions posted a reanimation of the commercial using characters from Five Nights at Freddy's. The video received over 503,000 views, 21,000 likes and 230 comments in roughly two years.

On October 28th, 2023, TikTok^[3] user catinoworld posted a reanimation of the commercial using cat characters. The video received over 1.7 million views and over 263,000 likes in over two years.

On October 14th, 2025, YouTube^[4] user gvaumisc posted an edit of the commercial in which the kids ask Fred to make them an extra cheese with all the wonders of the Earth. The video received over 48,000 views, 12,000 likes and 170 comments in two months.
