About
Gentleman's Barber Shop and Homero Pompadour, also known as Homero Vas a Recortarte? refers to an advertisement for a Puerto Rican barbershop called Gentleman's Barber Shop that uses The Simpsons animation style, showing Homer and Bart Simpson talking to the main barber, who calls Homer, "Homero," and initially asks him, "Homero, vas a recortarte?" The advertisement became a viral video and exploitable in 2025, primarily on TikTok. Some did Accuracy Reenactments of the scene, while others created brainrot and lobotomy edits, often combining Homero Pompadour with other memes like A Barbershop Haircut That Costs a Quarter, Thompson's Cutz and Designs and Adrian, Explain Our Friend Group, creating so-called Adrian Eeffoc Brainrot.
Origin
On October 19th, 2021, YouTuber[1] Santiago Santiago (Upgrade), representing Gentleman's Barber Shop in Bayamón, Puerto Rico,[2] posted an animated advertisement in the style of The Simpsons cartoon.
The scene opens with Gentleman's Barber Shop seen next to Moe's Tavern. Inside, Homer and Bart are shown talking to the main barber. Homer, referred to as "Homero," tells the barber in Spanish that Bart wants a pompadour hairstyle.[3]
Then, the Simpsons character Moe is seen in the chair getting a pompadour cut. After it's done, Homer asks, "What did you guys do with the real Moe?"[4] The animation then ends with Moe seen tied down in a basement with a gag in his mouth.[4]
