Gamer Henry Cavill refers to a series of memes and jokes about actor Henry Cavill being an avid PC gamer. The memes followed Henry Cavill frequently talking about his love for PC gaming in interviews to NME, GQ and other outlets, with Cavill often being imagined as a part of The Glorious PC Gaming Master Race.
Origin
On December 18th, 2019, NME[1] YouTube channel posted an interview with actor Henry Cavill about the upcoming The Witcher Netflix series. In the interview, Cavill talked about playing The Witcher game series and being a fan of the franchise, and admitted to being an avid PC gamer.

On December 19th, 2019, GQ[2] published an interview with Cavill titled "Henry Cavill: Gaming on my own is much more fun than going out." In the interview, Cavill admitted to being an escapist gamer, talked about being a fan of The Witcher game series and Total War: Warhammer II, and participating in LAN parties as a teenager.
At home, I get to sit playing games for ridiculous amounts of hours and escape there, because going outside has the opposite effect.
On the same day, PC Gamer posted a news article titled "The Witcher's Henry Cavill just wants to stay home and play games." Same-day tweet[3] by PC Gamer received over 340 retweets and 2,800 likes.

Following these and previous interviews, multiple memes and jokes about Cavill being an avid gamer were posted on Twitter, 4chan, Reddit and other online platforms. For example, a Yes Chad meme posted in Lord humungus comments based on your post Facebook[4] group received over 1,100 reactions and 1,000 shares (shown below, left). A December 23rd, 2019, RTX Off / RTX On meme by Redditor[5] littlestupidpirate received over 4,700 upvotes (shown below, right).
May 2020 Resurgence
On May 20th, 2020, Henry Cavill joined Zack Snyder for a live Q&A session via Vero to talk about the "Snyder Cut" being released .[6] During the session, the actor wore a gaming headset (stream screenshots shown below).
On the same day, the screenshots gained spread on Twitter, with memes imagining Henry Cavill live-streaming various video games with his webcam on. For example, on May 20th, 2020, Twitter[7] user @LeeOnFilm posted a Minecraft meme that received over 660 retweets and 4,200 likes (shown below, left). On May 21st, 2020, Twitter [8]user @HiToFilms started a thread writing "Gaming Cavill memes are the best thing to come out of 2020," with multiple users posting memes imagining Cavill playing livestreaming videogames (examples shown below, center and right).[9][10]
