Fucker Looks Badass Don't It is an exploitable series of fake text message memes in which one person sends a photo to another, writing, "fucker looks badass don't it," and the recipient responds, "I was your Uber driver like 3 months ago. Please leave me alone." The meme was originally posted to Facebook in May 2021 and became increasingly popularized over the following years as people replaced the sent image to change the context.
Origin
On May 17th, 2021, Facebook[1] user The infield tractor tire posted a screenshot of a text conversation in which one person sends a photo of a car, writing, "fucker looks badass don't it" and the recipient replies, "I was your Uber driver like 3 months ago. Please leave me alone," garnering over 1,800 reactions and 1,700 shares in two years (shown below). It is unclear if this is the original, but is the earliest known example.
Spread
The meme spread over the following months as users replaced the photo of the racecar with another image. On May 18th, 2021, Instagram[2] user dragsociety replaced the car with another vehicle, garnering over 10,000 likes in two years. On July 21st, a version of the meme was posted to the subreddit /r/jambands,[3] garnering over 200 upvotes in roughly the same span of time. On October 1st, Instagram[4] user imsowaved posted a version of the meme with a T-rex image, which was reposted to iFunny[5] on October 2nd, garnering over 16,600 likes and 12,400 smiles, respectively, in two years (shown below).
On February 4th, 2022, Redditor Static_456 posted a version of the meme featuring a cow from Barnyard pregnant with Goku from Dragon Ball to /r/shitposting,[6] garnering over 3,900 upvotes in a year (shown below, left). On November 14th, the ssgxnintendo Instagram[7] page shared a version of the meme using an image from the Mario + Rabbids series, garnering over 27,600 likes in six months (shown below, right).
On April 29th, 2023, Instagram[8] user weird_dms shared a version of the meme previously shared on /r/me_irl[9] and the Brittany Furlan Facebook[10] page using an image of a fish with sunglasses, garnering over 12,300 likes in a month (shown below).
