Then, TikToker @mr_superkick used the audio in August 2023, resulting in the sound's lip dub usage going into September. In memes, it was used to outline a humorous scenario met with a "Fuck it. Let's do it" attitude.

Origin

On July 17th, 2023, TikToker^[1] @shakeyfunnyazz posted a video of himself playing the video game Days Gone and taking on many zombie-like creatures, proclaiming, "Fuck it. Let's do it." The video received roughly 2.1 million plays and 190,000 likes in two months (shown below).

In late July 2023, TikTokers^[2] used the sound but received low engagement. The same occurred from early to mid-August 2023.^[3] On August 31st, 2023, TikToker^[4] @mr_superkick used the audio, adding text overlay, "When the ugly Girl Keep tryin FOU," gaining roughly 142,500 plays and 10,000 likes in 12 days (shown below, left). Going into September 2023, TikTokers began using the sound,^[5] such as TikToker^[6] @jaywthe_juice on September 7th, 2023, gaining roughly 1 million plays and 197,400 likes in five days (shown below, right).

Thereafter, videos using the sound^[5] became increasingly viral, such as a video posted by TikToker^[7] @nicedward on September 10th, 2023, who used a POV caption about a friend wanting to get McDonald's at 2 a.m. The video received roughly 3.8 million plays and 654,900 likes in two days (shown below).

By September 12th, 2023, the meme's primary sound^[5] had amassed over 4,800 posts.
