#FoundAtArea51 is a Twitter hashtag used to collect possible things that could be found at Area 51. The hashtag gained gained traction after the Facebook Storm Area 51 event was created.
Origin
On April 1st, 2017, Twitter user @soupgrowscold[1] posted the first recorded use of the hashtag naming "Jimmy Hoffa's recipe for human jambalaya" as an item that could be found at Area 51 (shown below).
Spread
On July 15th, 2019, the hashtag became popular after Twitter user @MusicAdamT paired the alien from Mac and Me with the hashtag #FoundAtArea51 (shown below). The tweet gained over 70 likes in three days.

On July 17th, Twitter user @Holy_Schm1dt[2] tweeted that "The actual season 8 of game of thrones" could be found at Area 51 (shown below, left). The tweet garnered over 3,100 likes in a day. The next day, @ambiegirl73 posted and image of Tom from Myspace to Twitter[3] with the hashtag (shown below, right). The tweet gained over 3,400 likes that day.
