Flight Driving a Shoe, also known as Flight Driving a Jordan 3, refers to a photoshop image of YouTuber FlightReacts (or Flight) driving a white and red Air Jordan "Jordan 3" shoe. Smoke and flames are coming out of the engine. Flight has his tongue sticking out and his eyes are white and pupilless. The image was originally the cover art for his 2019 rap song "Heat Cheque" which he released on streaming platforms like SoundCloud. The image became an exploitable in an image macro series heading into the mid-2020s.

Origin

On November 24th, 2019, streamer and YouTuber Flight posted a song to SoundCloud^[1] called "Heat Cheque," receiving over 784,000 listens and 10,700 likes in six years. The song's cover art showed Flight driving a white and red Air Jordan "Jordan 3" basketball shoe. Smoke and flames are coming out of the engine. Flight has his tongue sticking out and his eyes are white and pupilless (shown below).

Spread

Sometime around March 2023, a cropped, moldy version of the cover art spread on TikTok in photo slideshows, evident in a reposted image that included multiple TikTok watermarks (shown below) from a since-deleted Redditor^[2] in the /r/KnowYourMeme subreddit. The post was shared on March 18th, 2023.

The image was used on Twitter / X shortly after. For instance, since-deleted X user @redshibe_ used the image in a quote tweet about Slurp Juice. A screenshot of the tweet was reposted by Instagram^[3] users @dragonajoestarr and @rokirokinorooru on April 1st, 2023, receiving over 1,300 likes in two years (shown below).

On April 25th, Redditor^[4] YellEggforPassword posted the image to the /r/yeat_ subreddit, asking, "What Yeat song got you like this?" The post received 465 upvotes in two years (shown below). The format spread to other subreddits^[5] centered on musical artists in the following months.

On March 12th, 2024, Instagram^[6] user @durags posted the Flight Driving a Shoe image, receiving over 3,400 likes in 10 months. On December 20th, 2024, X^[7] user @hongebob posted the image, gaining over 6,000 likes in 19 days.

On January 6th, 2025, X^[8] user @AJustFate4Fools tweeted the Flight Driving a Shoe image, captioning it, "One of the funniest pictures of all time," receiving over 115,000 likes in two days (shown below).
