Financially Stable refers to a copypasta popular on Twitter which reads "Happily married, financially stable, 750 credit score, and became a house owner at the age of 21. God is good🏡🙏🏻." After the text was posted sincerely in August of 2017, people on Twitter parodied the tweet by posting the text with various humorous images.

Origin

On August 15th, 2017, Twitter user @Abbyyg37^[1] posted the original text to Twitter with what are presumably images of her husband and new house. The tweet gained over 10,000 retweets and 53,000 likes (shown below).

Spread

Following the spread of @Abbyyg37's tweet, other Twitter users posted the text with different, humorous images. For example, on August 22nd, 2017, Twitter user @thugtear uploaded images from Spongebob Squarepants with the text, gaining over 35,000 retweets and 84,000 likes (shown below, left). Twitter user @keybladexxx uploaded the copypasta with pictures from Club Penguin, gaining over 12,000 retweets and 35,000 likes (shown below, right).

@kaaatelewis Tweet

The meme saw renewed interest when Twitter user @kaaatelewis^[2] referenced the meme on February 16th, 2018 in a tweet which read "18, financially stable, just bought a house. What have you done 😎" (shown below). Her tweet gained 1,400 retweets and over 12,000 likes.

Twitter users unaware of the reference took her tweet seriously and responded with jokes of their own, usually by quote-tweeting @kaaatelewis' tweet and adding something unimpressive they'd done. Twitter user @tesajayfit posted a tweet saying if she'd bought a house with someone she was dating at 18, she'd be in trouble, gaining over 57,000 retweets and 278,000 likes (shown below, left). User @Y2Shaft said they'd woken up before noon on a Sunday, gaining over 10,000 retweets and 33,000 likes (shown below, right).

On the 18th, @kaaatelewis clarified the tweet was a joke.^[3] The story was covered by The Daily Dot.^[4]
