Father Stretch My Hands Pt.1 refers to the song released by musical artist Kanye West as part of his album The Life Of Pablo which was released on June 10th, 2016. The song, which starts out as part of a choir before going into the beat, became very popular on various different social media sites as a background song to something considered epic.
Origin
On June 10th, 2016, the song was officially released to the general public as part of the album The Life Of Pablo. Prior to the album's release, Kanye showed off the song at a live preview of the album, titled Yeezy Season 3, which was done at Madison Square Garden. The song, which was later uploaded to YouTube by the channel Kanye West Live Performances[1] on July 5th, 2022, showed to immediately generate interest with fans of both Kanye and Metro Boomin as the video gained over 750,000 views in two years (shown below).
Clips from the premiere event kept circulating online as part of hype surrounding the song. On September 4th, 2022, the TikToker 4your.eyez.onlyyyy[2] uploaded a clip from the event, when the beat drops, combined with the initial beat drop and on-screen text, gaining over 42,000 likes in two years and introducing the song to the platform for others to use in duets (shown below).
Spread
Over the following years, the audio started to be used in different hype edits across various social media platforms. On June 19th, 2023, the YouTuber Ray2K[3] uploaded a short video in which a child surprises his father by jumping up to him as he walked in and Dunking On Him right as the beat drops from the producer tag, earning over 64 million views in one year (shown below).
The audio continued to see usage on TikTok, with the TikToker sportbible[4] uploading a video in which the Instagram user ballmastersmcr showcasing a Soccer player doing a crossover and getting the ball through two defenders and having a breakaway to the enemy goal on July 3rd, 2023, earning over 154,000 likes in one year (shown below).
