Fake Math Conspiracies are a series of TikTok parody videos in which users explain a far-fetched theory surrounding characters or celebrities by performing simple math problems using any and all numbers associated with the celebrity, like their age.
Origin
On March 13th, @adamtyler uploaded the first known iteration of the Fake Math Conspiracy videos (shown below). The video gained 185,800 likes and 14,100 shares in three weeks. In this fake conspiracy @adamtyler concludes that Raini Rodriguez is Eleven from Stranger Things.
Spread
On March 13th, 2019, many TikTok users posted their own fake math conspiracies (shown below). @kingStink, @piffpeterson and @douglife posted examples that include fake conspiracies surrounding the Operation Varsity Blues scandal, and celebrities like Billie Eilish and Barack Obama. They received 425,000, 671,000 and 18,800 likes, respectively, in three weeks.
