About

Fake Antiques Roadshow Appraisals are photoshops of frames from the popular television show Antiques Roadshow in which the antiques being appraised are given alternative, humorous names. The photoshops are created by Keaton Patti and posted to his Tumblr account.[1]

Origin

Patti posted his first fake Antiques Roadshow appraisal on May 1st, 2016.[2] The post, shown below, has gained 421 notes as of December 6th, 2016.

Spread

In the following months, Patti would create dozens more Antiques Roadshow photoshops, each captioned "Looks like someone's getting X!", with X changing based on the attire of the person whose antique is being appraised. To date, his most popular photoshop is of a carving of an owl he dubbed "The Worst Owl."[5] The post, shown below, has over 21,500 notes and was published in Paper Mag's "Sunday Funnies" roundup.[6]

On December 1st, Patti posted a compilation of his best photoshops to Funny or Die.[3] The Daily Dot[4] covered Patti's work on December 6th.
