EXPLAIN DELEUZE TO ME OR I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU is a memorable 4chan greentext post that was turned into a copypasta following its initial appearance online in 2017. After a 4chan user posted an image of post-modern philosopher Gilles Deleuze to 4chan's /lit/ board, another user posted an agitated-sounding reply in all caps, asking for someone to "explain Deleuze" and his various philosophical concepts, including a "body without organs" and "rhizomes."

Origin

On March 22nd, 2017, an anonymous user posted an image of French philosopher Gilles Deleuze's book Difference and Repetition to 4chan's /lit/ board alongside the caption, "Was it autism?" (shown below). The post then received a reply^[1] from another user asking them to explain Deleuze.

"EXPLAIN DELEUZE TO ME OR I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU! DON'T DUMB IT DOWN INTO SOME VAGUE SHIT! EXPLAIN DELEUZE TO ME RIGHT NOW OR I'LL LITERALLY FUCKING KILL YOu! WHAT THE FUCK IS A BODY WITHOUT ORGANS? WHAT THE FUCK ARE RHIZOMES? DON'T DUMB IT DOWN OR I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU"

The copypasta was subsequently reposted to Reddit in 2018.^[2][3]

On April 20th, 2019, iFunny^[4] user Saboteur posted a meme featuring a still of Jordan Peterson from his debate with philosopher Slavoj Žižek (seen below, left). On November 27th, 2019, the Instagram^[5] page @inzanelyrejected_denied posted a variation of the meme, gathering over 700 likes in four years (seen below, right).

On January 8th, 2020, the Instagram^[6] page deathpanel_ posted a version of the meme, gathering over 100 likes in three years (seen below, left). On February 17th, the Instagram^[7] page nightchannels also posted a version of the meme, gathering over 200 likes in three years (seen below, right).

On June 24th, 2020, YouTuber^[8] MegaPear then posted a video of Jordan Peterson's voice reading out the copypasta, gathering over 4000 views in three years (seen below).
