Overview

Wonder Woman Game Canceled Controversy refers to the cancelation of the long-anticipated Wonder Woman action-adventure video game developed by Monolith Productions, known for its work on the Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor series. Warner Bros. Discovery announced its cancelation in late February 2025 along with the shutdown of three associated game studios: Monolith Productions, Player First Games and Warner Bros. Games San Diego. This decision sparked outrage among fans of the heroine on social media, sparking comparisons with other prominent DC Comics heroes like Superman and Batman's projects, alleging that the iconic character potential is wasted by DC studios and Warner Bros.
