About
"The Rainbolt" Bagel refers to a bagel sandwich from Bagel Market in New York City that was named after professional GeoGuessr player Rainbolt in June 2023 when he successfully identified the sandwich in a TikTok posted by TikToker Casketpaint who tried to gatekeep the sandwich from his followers by not telling them where it was from (akin to food gatekeeping). Rainbolt took the challenge and spent over 48 hours searching Google Maps to find it. Once he found it with the help of fellow TikToker The Bagel Ambassador, Bagel Market named the sandwich after him, resulting in mass reactions and memes that made fun of Casketpaint. Ultimately, Casketpaint posted response videos.
History
On May 11th, 2023, TikToker[1] @casketpaint posted a video in which he showed the bagel sandwich he was eating and told his followers, "😭😭 youll never taste this goodness," essentially gatekeeping his food. The video gained roughly 94,100 plays and 9,800 likes in one month (video's sound since removed from TikTok and is no longer embeddable).
About a month later, on June 3rd, 2023, Rainbolt posted two tweets[2][3] that revealed he'd been looking for the bagel in Casketpaint's video, writing, "I'm going to be vulnerable: I've spent 38 hours this week (42 hours last week) looking for a bagel on google maps." He asked for help from others online to identify the bagel which he knew was in New York City. The primary tweet[2] gained roughly 118,500 likes in 10 days (shown below).
A few days later, on June 7th, Rainbolt quote retweeted [4] the aforementioned tweet, writing in all caps, "WE FOUND THE BAGEL," gaining roughly 72,300 likes in six days. Soon after, on June 8th, 2023, Rainbolt posted a stitch to TikTok[5] with Casketpaint's original video, revealing the bagel's origin, stating that it was an egg, cheese and avocado bagel from Bagel Market in New York City. The video gained roughly 12.6 million plays and 1.9 million likes in five days (shown below). Rainbolt also posted the video to Twitter[6] on the same day, gaining roughly 246,700 likes in the same timeframe.
Online Reaction
In the days that followed, multiple internet users reacted to Rainbolt's video as it spread online. For instance, on June 9th, 2023, Twitter[7] user @stephmui tweeted a photo of the menu at Bagel Market, showing that the sandwich was named after Rainbolt (shown below, left). The tweet gained roughly 21,700 likes in four days. Then, later on June 9th, Twitter[8] user @jesusfreak8888 tweeted a screenshot of Casketpaint's Instagram Live, showing that he went to Bagel Market to see the menu change for himself. Twitter[8] user @jesusfreak8888's tweet gained roughly 84,600 likes in four days (shown below, right).

Casketpaint's Response Videos
On June 9th, 2023, TikToker[9] @casketpaint then posted a response video to Rainbolt, gaining roughly 240,800 plays and 43,200 likes in four days (shown below, left). Two days later, on June 11th, @casketpaint posted another video to his TikTok[10] about "the bagel thing" with a more serious tone, gaining roughly 69,000 plays and 7,700 likes in two days (shown below, right).
