Overview

Nux Taku's Jaiden Animations Parasocial Relationship Accusations refers to memes and jokes about reaction VTuber Nux Taku and his tendency toward making "ironic" YouTube thumbnails in which he inserts himself into other YouTubers' viral videos. In 2024, many fans of YouTuber Jaiden Animations noticed that Nux Taku would insert his VTuber persona into her YouTube thumbnails and repurpose her titles to say "We" or "Jaiden Animations and I," supposedly as a joke. This led to one X / Twitter user creating a browser extension that adds Nux Taku to every YouTube thumbnail and changes every "I" in the title to "We." Nux Taku's negative reactions to the joke flamed memes about him in August 2024. Various internet users also joked about Nux Taku mimicking the "and Bumblebee!" joke from Teen Titans GO! in reference to an arc where superhero Bumblebee was inserted into the show's theme song.

Background

YouTuber Nux Taku gathered a reputation for reacting to fellow YouTuber^[1] Jaiden Animations content on his side channel "Nuxanor"^[2] in 2024, oftentimes reposting Jaiden Animations's personal videos by inserting himself into her thumbnail and title. This can be seen in Nux Taku's reaction to Jaiden's "So It's Been 10 Years" video and her "I Found Out I Have ADHD" video.

Some internet users compared Nux Taku to the "and Bumblebee!" version of the Teen Titans GO! theme song, as seen in a TikTok^[14] slideshow reposted by X user @Isithorchata on August 21st. The TikTok video gathered over 2 million views since it was posted on August 3rd, 2024.

On August 24th, 2024, @JaidenAnimations posted a YouTube^[3] video in which she discussed how she won MrBeast's $1,00,000 YouTuber challenge, gathering over 9 million views in five days. The thumbnail was also reposted to her X^[4] account, where it gathered over 76,000 likes in five days.

In the days following Jaiden Animations's post, various internet users posted memes and jokes about how Nux Taku must be on his way to insert himself into Jaiden's thumbnail, as seen in quote tweets by X^[5] user @M1das_OW2 on August 24th, who joked, "I can’t wait to see how nux taku reacts," gathering over 70,000 likes in five days, and X^[6] user @thegreyzen, who wrote, "Can't wait for the delusional 'JADEN AND I WON 1000000 BUCKS' video from u know who LMAO," gathering over 7,000 likes in five days.

Developments

On August 25th, 2024, X^[7] user @silly_veena posted a comic about Nux Taku inserting himself into Jaiden Animations' work, gathering over 70,000 likes in four days.

On August 24th, X^[8] user @saltydkdan wrote, "Since we all know it's coming, I figured I'd just make the Thumbnail and Title for him so he can put in even less effort!" alongside a YouTube thumbnail showing a potential Nux Taku YouTube upload in which he includes himself in Jaiden Animation's video. The post gathered over 15,000 likes in five days.

On August 25th, 2024, X^[9] user @AABatteries21 jokingly asked for a "browser extension that takes every Youtube video starting with 'I', replaces it with 'we', and adds Nux Taku in the thumbnail."

This led to X^[10] user @gducrash presenting their version of the MrBeast YouTube Extension called "Nuxify."^[11]

On August 27th, X^[12] user @yapinians posted an example of the extension in action, showing Nux Taku inserted into a Kendrick Lamar song with the title changed from "I" to "We." The post gathered over 40,000 likes in a day.

On August 26th, Nux Taku posted his YouTube^[13] reaction video to Jaiden Animation's $1,00,000 MrBeast post, writing in the description of the post, "Time to keep living rent free in the heads of the twitter and tiktok MrBeast Jaiden defense squad by doing the parasocial crime of gasp reacting to a Jaiden Animations video on stream ooooh noooo…"

On August 26th, 2024, X^[15] user @Nerdula posted a clip from the video in which Nux Taku complains about being harassed with "and Bumblebee!" comments and Teen Titans references, writing, "lmao we actually struck a nerve with him," and gathering over 70,000 likes in three days.
