Overview

Ninja's Times Square Floss Fail refers to a failed attempt by Mixer streamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins to get attendees of the Times Square New Year's Eve celebration in New York to perform the floss dance. Additionally, a captioned image of Ninja saying "I'm not seeing enough movement" gained popularity as an image macro.

Background

On October 27th, 2018, Twitch streamer Ninja announced ^[1] that on December 31st, 2018, he would be hosting a 12-hour NYE celebration stream at the Times Square in New York. The event was heavily advertised on Twitch, with ads for the upcoming stream showing up on the main page and various channels.^[2]

On December 31st, during the stream, Ninja made an attempt to get one million people to perform floss dance at the same time.^[3] While several people joined the dance, the majority of the event attendees ignored the request.
