Ned From Try Guys Cheating Scandal refers to Ned Fulmer from the long-standing BuzzFeed YouTube show the Try Guys cheating on his wife, Ariel Fulmer, with his coworker Alexandria Herring. Speculation about something being amiss regarding Ned Fulmer began on Reddit after a user posted about Ned cheating on September 3rd, 2022, in which they proceeded to share photos and videos over direct messages with other users on /r/TheTryGuys. The user also claimed to be Will Thayer, Alexandria's fiancé. These rumors were bolstered by users on the subreddit identifying various video and commercial segments Ned was edited out of or excluded from in post-production. People on Twitter subsequently began to discuss similarities between "wife-guys" like Ned Fulmer and stand-up comedian John Mulaney. Ned Fulmer went on to confirm the rumors in a Twitter post on September 27th, 2022, which stated, "I Lost Focus And Had A Consensual Workplace Relationship," earning him further criticism.
Origin
On September 3rd, 2022, Redditor hamilton390 made a post to the /r/TheTryGuys subreddit claiming that multiple people saw Ned Fulmer with another woman at a bar in New York City. The post has since been deleted, but can be accessed via Internet Archive[1] (seen below).
Redditor hamilton390 went on to send private messages to people with evidence of Fulmer's infidelity. The collection of screenshots can be accessed via Imgur and has since gathered 12,000 views in a day (seen below).[2] The first series of text conversations appear to be between someone notifying hamilton390 of a woman who isn't Ariel kissing "the guy from try guys," and sending him evidence of the same.
Hamilton390 then shared further text conversations with fellow Redditor Laurasaurus_. Hamilton390 sent the aforementioned texts to Laurasaurus_ and claimed to be Will Thayer, Try Guys employee Alexandria Herring's fiancé (shown below).

On September 26th, 2022, Redditors on /r/TheTryGuys began to notice various Try Guys employees unfollowing each other on Instagram. People also noted that Will Thayer had removed all photos of fiancé Alex Herring from his Instagram. Moreover, evidence of Ned being excluded and scrubbed from videos and shoots began to mount, with Redditor roryn58 making a post about Ned having been edited out of a segment called "Phoning It In." The post gathered 800 upvotes in a day (seen below).[3]
Also on September 26th, Redditor abbtkdcarls posted evidence of Ned having been edited out of another Try Guys video, gathering nearly 700 upvotes in a day (seen below).[4]
Later on September 26th, 2022, Twitter[5] user @camitwomeyy posted a thread summarizing the situation, gathering over 17,000 likes and 2,000 retweets in a day (seen below).

Internet users soon began to draw comparisons between stand-up comedian John Mulaney and Ned Fulmer, noting that loving his wife was a big part of both Mulaney and Ned's personalities. On September 26th, Twitter[6] user @rosalilly_ posted about the similarities between Mulaney and Fulmer, gathering nearly 100,000 likes and 5,000 retweets in a day (seen below).
Other users posted about the complicated and confusing nature of the situation, given that several key pieces of evidence on Reddit had since been deleted. Twitter[7] user @LucasPSI3 posted a meme about the situation on September 26th, gathering over 50,000 likes and 5,000 retweets in a day (seen below).
Ned Fulmer's Removal from the Try Guys and Response
On September 27th, 2022, the Try Guys official Twitter account announced that Ned Fulmer is no longer working with their team. The post has gathered over 80,000 likes in an hour (seen below).[8]
Also on September 27th, Ned Fulmer released a statement on his official Twitter[9] account regarding the issue, effectively confirming the rumors about him cheating on his wife. The post has gathered over 3,000 likes in less than an hour (seen below)
Try Guys "what happened" Video
On October 3rd, 2022, the Try Guys posted a YouTube[10] video titled, "what happened," where they talked about the events of the past month, Ned's actions, and the company's steps moving forward. The video gathered 4.6 million views in a day (seen below).
The video set of a series of reactions on social media, with most fans commenting on the distinct differences in each Try Guy's demeanor in the video. Some fans noted that Eugene in particular looked angry and upset while Zach and Keith looked more sad and disappointed.
