On October 24th, 2024, Kick^[1] streamer DumbDumbJeez hosted a roughly two-hour-long stream titled "WINNING SAM PEPPER EVENT LIVE 🏆🎉 BEST MARKETER IN THE WORLD 📷 CRASHING OUT 👿😡." About an hour and 20 minutes into the stream, the streamer approaches and socializes with a homeless woman named Mabel to take her on a date. She starts claiming to him that she is in "Heath Ledger's son's body," ranting nonsensically about how she was put into the body of Heath Ledger's child and altered to keep it a secret.

About an hour and 57 minutes into the stream, the streamer takes Mabel to the restaurant and they order food. Roughly 15 minutes later, DumbDumbJeez claims he forgot his wallet in the car, then pulls a "dine and dash" on Mabel by running from the restaurant, hopping in a rideshare vehicle and leaving her stuck with the bill. The clip of DumbDumbJeez dashing from the restaurant was seemingly cut from the Kick VOD.

On October 25th, X^[2] user @copiumx posted the clip of DumbDumbJeez dashing on the bill, garnering around 7,000 views, 20 likes and 20 replies in under a day.

Developments

On October 25th, 2024, the video was posted to /r/LiveStreamFail,^[9] where it garnered over 20,000 upvotes in three days. That day, u/_SinsofYesterday commented on the post claiming they reached out to some employees at the restaurant, who claimed to have paid the bill for Mabel.

DumbDumbJeez's Response / Ban

On the night of October 25th, 2024, DumbDumbJeez posted a video on X^[10] attempting to explain the situation. In the video, he explains that the date was for a contest and that he was looking to get a "funny clip" out of it to help his chances of winning. DumbDumbJeez goes on to claim the video was "scripted" and that he talked to Mabel beforehand and gave her money, informing her of the plan. He claims he didn't want to admit it so he had a chance of winning the contest. He ends the video by explaining that he was disqualified from the competition and banned from Kick.

On October 26th, TMZ^[11] reported on DumbDumbJeez's ban. That same day, X^[12] user @BijanTehrani, a co-founder of Stake and Kick, posted about the situation and offered Mabel $50,000 if anyone could get in contact with her, writing, "This pathetic and now banned streamer did this while trying to win a contest for $50k. I’m disappointed this happened on Kick and we’ve got $50k for this lady if anyone can connect us."
