Overview
FedEx Delivery Video refers to footage of a FedEx employee throwing a computer monitor package over a wall which was circulated online in December of 2011.
Background
On December 20th, 2011, Redditor mayonesa submitted a video to the /r/geek[1] subreddit titled "How FedEx delivers a computer monitor," which showed a FedEx delivery man throwing a box containing a computer monitor over a wall. The post managed to reach the front page and received over 2,400 votes within the first two days.

FedEx Response
On December 21st, 2011, FedEx uploaded a video to their official YouTube channel with an apology delivered by the Senior Vice President of FedEx Express U.S. Operations. The video was submitted to Reddit[2] on December 22nd and received over 6,500 up votes within 23 hours.
Online Reaction
On December 22nd, 2011, a video titled "FedEx Guy Launches Boxes Off Truck"[3] was submitted to the /r/videos subreddit by user myusername2012, showing a FedEx delivery person tossing boxes out of a truck on to the ground (shown below). Prior to being archived, the post garnered more than 6,200 up votes and 800 comments.
2013 New York City FedEx Video
On July 24th, 2013, YouTuber banstaman uploaded a video featuring a FedEx employee haphazardly throwing boxes into the back of a delivery truck in New York City (shown below). Within the first week, the video gained over 1.48 million views and 4,900 comments.
On July 26th, Redditor angrytortilla submitted an animated GIF from the video to the /r/WTF[4] subreddit, receiving more than 23,900 up votes and 2,900 comments in the first week. On the same day, WMCTV[5] reported that the FedEx employee from the video had been fired after the video began circulating online. Also on July 26th, FedEx uploaded a statement from the company Senior Vice President Shannon A. Brown to YouTube, which apologized for the actions of the employee and announcing that she no longer worked for the company (shown below). Immediately after, Redditor Laetteralus submitted the video to the /r/videos[6] subreddit, where it garnered upwards of 10,400 up votes and 1,3300 comments.
In the coming days, several news sites published articles about the incident, including The Huffington Post,[8] ABC News,[9] the New York Daily News[10] and Gothamist.[11] On July 29th, ABC New York[7] published an interview with the security guard who had been assisting the FedEx employee, who revealed that he had been fired for throwing the boxes into the truck (shown below).
