Overview
The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2019 or E3 2019 is a gaming conference organized by the Entertainment Software Association which will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from June 11th through June 13th,[1] with several conferences by major game publishers and developers held in days prior to the event.
History
June 6th
On June 6th, 2019, Google presented detailed information about the upcoming Google Stadia game streaming platform,[2] also revealing the initial list of supported games. The list of the announced games included Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, Baldur's Gate 3, Borderlands 3, Destiny 2, DOOM Eternal, Metro Exodus, Mortal Kombat 11, Rage 2 and other titles. The platform will launch in November 2019 in 14 countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kindom.
On the same day, game developer Bungie held a presentation, announcing upcoming changes to Destiny 2.
June 8th
On June 8th and 9th, 2019, game publisher Electronic Arts held the annual EA Play press conference.[3] At theconference, the company revealed gameplay for the upcoming Star Wars title Jedi Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment. The second competitive season of battle royale game Apex Legends was also teased.
June 9th
On June 9th, 2019, game publishers Microsoft, Bethesda Softworks and Devolver Digital held their conferences.
At the Microsoft's Xbox E3 press conference at the Microsoft Theater, Microsoft and other companies presented trailers and / or announced release dates for The Outer Worlds, Ori and the WIll of the Wisps, Cyberpunk 2077 (including a cameo and a presentation by actor Keanu Reeves), Battletoads, Psychonauts 2, Dying Light 2 and other titles.
On the same day, Bethesda Softworks held a press conference, with trailers for DOOM Eternal, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Deathloop and Fallout 76 revealed. A new upcoming title GhostWire: Tokyo, developed by Tango Gameworks was announced, with its creative Ikumi Nakamura presenting the game. The presentation sparked a notable reaction among Twitter users.
During Devolver Digital's presentation, the company revealed trailers for Fall Guys, Carrion, The Messenger and its other titles. The company also presented a collection of "bootleg" versions of its popular titles such as Hotline Milwaukee (Hotline Miami) and Enter the Gun Dungeon (Enter the Gungeon).[4]
June 10th
On June 10th, 2019, game publishers Ubisoft and Square Enix held their conferences. Additionally, gaming magazine PC Gamer held PC Gaming Show event.
At PC Gaming Show, sequels Chivalry 2 and Zombie Army 4: Dead War were announced and trailers for Evil Genius 2, Griftlands and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 were revealed.[8]
At Ubisoft E3 2019 press conference, Watch Dogs: Legion, Just Dance 2020 and Rainbow Six Quarantine, Roller Champions and Gods and Monsters were announced.[9] Additionally, UPlay+ subscription service, to be made available on Stadia, was revealed. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, a new installment of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon franchise, was presented by actor Jon Bernthal, who entered the stage with his dog Bam Bam.
Square Enix E3 presentation included the announcement of Marvel's Avengers, gameplay footage of Final Fantasy VII Remake and announcements of Final Fantasy VIII remaster and People Can Fly-developed shooter Outriders.[10]
June 11th
At Nintendo's E3 2019 Direct presentation on June 11th, Banjo-Kazooie and Dragon Quest XI's protagonist were announced to join the roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighters.[11] The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel was announced, The Witcher 3 was confirmed for Nintendo Switch and Luigi's Mansion 3, Link's Awakening and Animal Crossing: New Horizon gameplay footages were shown.[12]

You're Breathtaking is a phrase shouted by a Microsoft Xbox E3 2019 press conference attendee Peter Sark during actor Keanu Reeves' presentation of video game Cyberpunk 2077, with Keanu Reeves reacting by calling him and everyone in the audience "breathtaking" in response. Online, still images of Keanu Reeves pointing at the audience paired with the quote has been circulated as an image macro.
Ikumi Nakamura
Ikumi Nakamura's Presentation refers to the presentation of the upcoming Tango Gameworks game GhostWire: Tokyo by its creative director Ikumi Nakamura. The presentation sparked positive reactions on Twitter, with users posting jokes and memes praising the Nakamura's engaging presenting style (examples shown below).[5][6]
Ubisoft Dog
Ubisoft Dog refers to rescue pit bull Bam Bam who entered the stage together with his owner actor Jon Bernthal during his presentation of action video game Ghost Recon Breakpoint during Ubisoft E3 2019 Press Conference on June 10th.[7] Following the presentation, the appearance of the dog on the stage was discussed by users on Twitter and other online platforms.
