Overview

The Cracker Barrel New Logo Change, also known as the Cracker Barrel 2025 Rebrand, refers to the Southern chain restaurant brand Cracker Barrel changing its logo to a sleeker, minimalist design in late August 2025, notably removing the old man sitting with a barrel on the left side. It followed the Oversimplified Logo trend in advertising and branding.

The logo change sparked memes and viral discourse on social media sites like Twitter / X and Reddit, among other sites. A large portion of internet users believed that the new logo was "woke," as expressed in viral posts. Some internet users blamed Cracker Barrel's CEO, Julie Felss Masino, who took the position in November 2023, for the controversial change. Days later, Cracker Barrel retracted the new logo and officially kept the original logo. The switch-up sparked more viral discourse about the incident. The company's reversal was announced shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump posted about the rebrand on Truth Social, which eventually led to the official X account of the White House echoing the President's statement.
