On July 17th, TikToker[2] @instaagraace posted a video of the moment, garnering over 21 million views in under a day. The video shows the couple caught on the jumbotron, then hiding as Chris Martin, the singer of Coldplay, jokes, "Either they're having an affair or they're very shy."

The video was quote-reposted to the tweet by @QuesadillaKing3 by X[3] user @hellobye1024500 that same day, captioned, "Another's Arms" (a song by Coldplay), garnering over 257,000 likes, 23,000 reposts and 53 million views in under a day.

Later on July 17th, 2025, X[4] user @anuibi posted the video along with screenshots of Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer.io,[5] and Kristin Cabot, the company's Chief People Officer. The post reads, "CEO and HR having an affair and were outed during Coldplay‘s concert 👀 Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot from Astronomer 😬😬😬 Wife‘s Facebook has already been found and people commenting on it." The post gained over 24,000 likes and 9,400 reposts in under a day.



Wife Removes Name From Facebook Profile

On July 17th, 2025, the X[10] account @PopBase made a post claiming that Andy Byron's wife, Kerrigan, removed her last name from her Facebook page as the story went viral.



Formal Investigation, Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot Put On Leave

On July 18th, 2025, the Astronomer.io X[11] page posted a statement about the incident, claiming they are launching an investigation into the matter, garnering over 560 likes in under a day. That day, Axios[12] reported that Byron and Cabot were put on leave.



Andy Bryon Resigns

On July 19th, 2025, the @astronomerio X[13] page posted a statement claiming that Andy Byron resigned from his role as CEO of the company.



Astronomer Gwyneth Paltrow Video

On July 25th, 2025, Astronomer uploaded a video to its YouTube channel titled "Thank you for your interest in Astronomer," which featured actress Gwyneth Paltrow discussing the newfound interest in the company following the scandal, but avoided mentioning it as if the interest was solely in the company itself. The video gathered over 530,000 views, 6,100 likes and 610 comments in three days.



Online Presence

The video of the couple being caught at the Coldplay concert rapidly garnered viral spread online in mid-July 2025.

For instance, on July 17th, 2025, it was posted to the /r/WatchPeopleDieInside[6] subreddit, garnering over 84,000 upvotes in around eight hours.

Purportedly, their LinkedIn pages were spammed with comments about the incident, although the pages appear to have been deactivated since.[7]

People also began sending the video to Byron's wife. Some screenshots of comments to the pair were shared by X user @anuibi in her post exposing them.



That same day, X[8] user @jaybronious posted a meme of Dexter character James Doakes reading, "That one coworker at Astronomer who always knew something was going on but never had proof until the Coldplay clip came out," garnering over 13,000 likes in under a day.



Later on July 17th, 2025, X[9] user @parody_ceo posted a meme from Succession about the situation, writing, "Guy whose wife went to a Coldplay concert with her boss last night logging in today," garnering over 7,000 likes in a similar span of time.
