Overview

The 2025 India-Pakistan Conflict, also known as the 2025 India-Pakistan Border Standoff or the 2025 India-Pakistan War, refers to an ongoing military and diplomatic confrontation between the countries of India and Pakistan following the April 2025 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack, which resulted in the deaths of 27 civilians, sparked a series of escalations and retaliatory actions across the region, drawing widespread attention and controversy worldwide. In early May 2025, tensions between the countries intensified, leading to considerable debates, memes, jokes and various ironic content across Twitter / X, Instagram, TikTok and Reddit. Since the two nations possess nuclear weapons, memes about the potential of World War 3 or nuclear annihilation also spread online in mid-2025.
