On Tuesday, November 3, 2020 the United States held it's 59th quadrennial election. However, instead of a clear winner being announced like previous elections, the results are being delayed due to mail-in ballots. By Wednesday, November 4, almost every state except for Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia and Nevada have announced their results, with Joe Biden receiving 264 electoral votes and Donald Trump receiving 214 electoral votes. With three out of four getting the majority of their votes tallied up quickly, Nevada, with six electoral votes, is slowly pacing behind. With 6 electoral votes, it is an important swing state that would benefit either candidate. But as the hours went by, Nevada is still trailing with 75% of the votes counted. People started to get frustrated and made Nevada the butt of jokes during the ongoing election. A popular tweet, receiving over 13,300 likes, depicted a picture of Flash the Sloth from Zootopia, with the title reading, "streets saying this the mf counting votes in Nevada." After this, Twitter and other websites started to continue jokes and making memes about Nevada's snail pace counting.
