About
The Europeans vs. Americans Milk and Cereal Comic is an exploitable meme format based on a blobslop webcomic by artist Catoonz comparing the milk in America vs. Europe, depicting a skinny European dipping a cookie into a glass of ethically sourced milk while an overweight American pours strawberry flavored "all natural" milk into a bowl of cookie-shaped cereal, exclaiming, "And then you microwave it!" The comic was posted to X / Twitter in late November 2025 and quickly became the subject of reactions, redraws and edits that replace the characters and alter the shown situation. It also inspired discourse about European vs. American eating standards, with some finding the comic inaccurate.
Origin
On November 29th, 2025, X[1] user and artist @ca_toonz (Catoonz) posted a comic about American vs. European milk, breakfast and cereal, captioned, "I'm not even exaggerating here." The comic shows a European dipping a cookie in a glass of milk from a carton labeled, "whole milk fairtrade bio farm recyclable" free from animal exploitation. The European is giving a judgmental look to an overweight American on oxygen and an IV drip who is pouring milk from a jug labelled, "NEW!!! Strawberry flavored milk XXXXXXXXXL package! All natural 100% real no artificial sweeteners" into a bowl of colorful cookie-shaped cereal, yelling, "And then you microwave it!"
The post gained over 36,000 likes and 4,300 reposts in two days.
