Emo Woo Wop's "I Wanna Kill My Mom", also known as I Wanna Kill My Mum, is a song that was sung by Woo Wop from YouTube's the DuB Family in September 2022 in which he turned emo and sang, "I wanna kill my mom. I wanna kill my dad. I wanna kill my grandma." After it was posted to YouTube, the clip trended on TikTok and became a notable sound on the platform in skits and other humorous content.
Origin
On September 20th, 2022, the family vlog channel the DuB Family uploaded a YouTube[1] video titled, "Woo Wop Acts Emo Front Of Everyone . . ." in which the family's child nicknamed Woo Wop had turned "emo" by sporting clothing similar to emo rappers like XXXTentacion or Juice Wrld. At the 1:39-minute mark, Woo Wop was ushered into the kitchen wherein he started singing, "I wanna kill my mom. I wanna kill my dad. I wanna kill my grandma," in a singing voice similar to Mario Judah (shown below). Over the course of three days, the video received roughly 538,900 views.

On September 21st, 2022, TikToker[1] ongodiswearfr reposted the DuB Family YouTube clip onto the new platform, writing in text overlay, "Woo Wop is a menace 🤣." Over the course of two days, the video received roughly 10.9 million plays and 2.1 million likes (shown below, left). Also on September 21st, TikToker[2] notjjmmny posted the clip, captioning it, "Younger me after my parents said no to buying me McDonalds," and earning roughly 4 million plays and 619,900 likes in two days (shown below, right).
The song started to trend as a sound on the platform going into the remainder of September 2022. For instance, on September 22nd, 2022, TikToker[3] nuggwrld used the sound to make a joke about the "Straight A" student getting a B on a test, gaining roughly 1.3 million plays and 263,700 likes in one day (shown below, left). Also on September 21st, 2022, the DuB Family reacted to the virality of the song on TikTok by posting a TikTok[4] video showing Woo Wop and his dad shaking their heads at the song. The video received roughly 4.2 million plays and 786,500 likes in less than a day (shown below, right).
