Education Connection Jingle or Get Connected For Free is a commercial jingle for educationconnection.com produced by Anthony Falcone that aired nationally in the United States around 2009, when it was uploaded to YouTube. The jingle became the subject of memes in the following years, inspiring a viral original sound on TikTok in July 2022.
Origin
On January 16th, 2009, Anthony Falcone posted a commercial for educationconnection.com to YouTube[1] that features a song he produced. The commercial shows a woman singing along to the song, which advertises the website's services (shown below). The video gained over 4.8 million views in 13 years.
Spread
The song inspired memes over the following years. On December 28th, 2014, Tumblr[2] user gothic-babe posted a now-deleted (archived by Wayback Machine) post editing the song over a clip of Iggy Azealea freestyle rapping, garnering over 70,000 notes in eight years. On March 7th, 2019, YouTuber[3] Emily carrot set a video of animated gorillas dancing to the song, garnering over 239,000 views in three years (shown below).
GET CONNECTED FOR FREE Sped-Up Remix / Original Sound
On July 31st, 2022, YouTuber[4] A_RandomPuppy posted a sped-up remix of the song, garnering over 120,000 views in two months. The version was uploaded to TikTok by @allofcoryedits that same month, although the video has since been deleted. The original sound became notably popular on TikTok,[5][6] inspiring over 49,000 videos in the next two months (examples shown below).
