About

"Easy D" is an expression tweeted by United States President Donald Trump, presumably as a shorthand for "easy decision," which was widely mocked on Twitter due to its similarity to the name of the deceased rapper "Eazy-E" and the euphemism "The D".

Origin

On February 8th, 2017, Donald Trump posted a tweet about a "big increase in traffic" into the United States causing the American people to be "more vulnerable" while waiting for "what should be Easy D!," presumably referring to an ongoing court battle over his executive order on immigration (shown below).[1]

Spread

Immediately after the tweet was posted, Twitter users began mocking the use of the shorthand "Easy D" as if it were a euphemism for "dick" (shown below).

Meanwhile, other Twitter users posted photoshops of Trump's faced superimposed on to photographs of the deceased rapper Easy-E (shown below). Meanwhile, Redditor Go_To_Bethel_And_Sin submitted a post asking "What is Easy D?" to /r/OutOfTheLoop.[2]

In the coming days, several news sites published articles about the online reaction to Trump's tweet, including The Daily Dot,[3] NY Daily News,[4] The Guardian,[5] Slate[6] and UpRoxx.[7]
