É O Menino De Papai É (English: "It's Daddy's Boy") refers to a viral audio from a 2006 song of the same name that was popularized alongside the Dancing Baby meme. The audio resurfaced on April 2023 with creepy versions of it appearing on TikTok.

Origin

On October 25th, 2006, YouTube[1] channel @centershows uploaded a video of the live performance of the music "Menino de Papai" (English: "Daddy's Boy") by the band Garotôes do Forró. The video garnered 1.1 million views and 8,100 likes in 17 years (seen below).

A few years later, a sample of the music was then added to a Dancing Baby parody meme. The video was uploaded on YouTube[2] by @drikaapaz on December 27th, 2009 (shown below).

Spread

Throughout the following decade, several parody videos featuring the audio were then posted on YouTube. For instance, on August 10th, 2015, YouTuber[3] @NAHORADOFATOREAL2000 posted a video (seen below) with funny images matching the audio's tone, garnering 69,000 views and 1,200 likes in eight years.

TikTok Trend

On April 27th, 2023, TikToker[4] @david.yzn posted a parody video (seen below, left) using the audio, receiving over 516,000 plays and 60,300 likes in three weeks. Another example was posted (seen below, right) by TikToker @anthxzykk[5] showing a creepy version of the audio on May 1st, which garnered over 754,000 plays and 85,800 likes in two weeks.
