Dumb Nih Dancing, also known as Dumb Ahh Nih Dancing, refers to a video of a Black man dancing that was captioned, "Dumb nih dancing," with the slang term "nih" meaning "nigga" but with the -ih suffix, resembling the slang term "dih." The slang term "ahh" means "ass," sourced from the term "goofy ahh." The Dumb Nih Dancing meme spread en masse on TikTok in March 2025, via a series of hood irony brainrot videos that used flame explosion CapCut effects, among other filters, similar to the Eye of Rah meme.

Dumb Nih Dancing is viewed by some as a more degenerate and blatantly racist version of the Druski Dancing meme and the TS PMO ICL memes that bastardized AAVE. The genre of memes was popular on the so-called JuggTok. The original Dumb Nih Dancing video was shared by TikToker @rolandarolle.

On March 9th, 2025, TikToker^[1] @rolandarolle posted a video of a Black man dancing in a living room while holding a phone, receiving over 362,600 likes in five days (shown below).

Later on March 9th, TikToker^[2] @gyrozeppeli.com reposted the abovementioned video, adding a caption that joked about being on "dumb ahh 🥷🏿 dancing" while everyone else was stuck on I Call Patrick Subaru, gaining over 26,100 likes in five days (shown below).

Spread

In the following days, others used the same TikTok sound^[3] as the abovementioned video. For instance, on March 11th, 2025, TikToker^[4] @pressforpresident posted a video, that showed the man dancing with multiple CapCut effects and the caption, "Dumb ahh nih dancing," gaining over 101,000 likes in three days (shown below).

On March 13th, TikToker^[5] @yourluckwillrunout posted a video of himself doing the dance from the original video, receiving over 58,200 likes in a day (shown below).

Also on March 13th, 2025, TikToker^[6] @vexbolts posted a video of himself doing the dance, with the caption, "How it feels to be on Dumb Ahh Nih Dancing while everyone else stuck on Trap Royalty," gaining over 21,000 likes in a day (shown below).
