@DoubsClears "A Home Invasion Is Happening in My House Right Now" Tweet refers to a viral post shared by Twitter / X user @DoubsClears in late August 2024, which read, "A home invasion is happening in my house right now I’m hiding under the bed I hear my little brother screaming downstairs." The post received viral quotes questioning the user's decision to tweet instead of helping or calling 911. Others humorously imagined what was happening to the little brother downstairs amid the alleged invasion via memes. Many believed that @DoubsClears was lying and made fun of him in the following days for trying to keep his virality alive via follow-up tweets about the alleged invasion. In turn, many likened the post to engagement bait and labeled @DoubsClear cringe.

Origin

On August 23rd, 2024, X[1] user @DoubsClears tweeted, "A home invasion is happening in my house right now I’m hiding under the bed I hear my little brother screaming downstairs," receiving over 53.4 million views and 137,000 likes in five days (shown below).

Spread

On August 24th, 2024, X[2] user @kmo182 quoted the abovementioned tweet, attaching a video of a DJ using a kid's head to spin a turntable, captioning it, "Them robbers probably messing with your little brother like this right now while you’re here tweeting." Over four days, the quote amassed over 200,000 likes (shown below).

Other tweets followed the same premise. For instance, later on August 24th, X[3] user @ifucklivewires quoted it with a Minecraft GIF, captioned, "Call the police or tweet about your brother getting murdered on Twitter," gaining over 37,000 likes in four days (shown below).

On August 25th, 2024, X[4] user @JozuJoestar quoted the post, noting that it had been "30+ hours since his last post." The tweet received over 115,000 likes in three days (shown below).

On August 26th, 2024, X[5] user @DoubsClears resurfaced online, posting a clip of rapper Soulja Boy captioned, "Addressing the events that took place the other night," gaining over 18,000 likes in two days (shown below).

Later on August 26th, X[6] user @DoubsClears shared a long-form post that read, "Ok so here’s what happened the other night…" @DoubsClears claimed that his father was involved with the Sinaloa Cartel and that the invaders water boarded his brother and told the two that they were going to murder their father. The tweet received over 14,000 likes in two days (shown below).

Users on the app started thinking that @DoubsClears was lying about the situation, such as X[7] user @blitznotinspace on August 26th, who tweeted the David Harris Jr. Plane Rage Bait video, captioned, "You flexing your AirPod Max’s while your little brother is getting waterboarded by the Sinaloa Cartel," gaining over 5,100 likes in two days (shown below).

Similarly, on August 27th, 2024, X[8] user @30GotNext tweeted a screenshot of @DoubsClears' tweets post-alleged invasion, pairing it with the David Harris Jr. Plane Rage Bait video, receiving over 6,700 likes in a day (shown below).
