Don't Touch My Pizza is a song by music artist Zombycare and an animation meme by creator Nyanwolf in which a green anthropomorphic wolf sings the song. "Don't Touch My Pizza," stylized, "don't touch my pizza >:(," was released in June 2023 and is seemingly based on the song "Pixel Peeker Polka" by Kevin MacLeod. The animation meme was released in July 2024, becoming the most well-known piece of media associated with it and inspiring memes over the following year. In March 2025, the song saw a resurgence in virality on TikTok, largely as the subject of criticism, with some claiming that the hate was coming from SlimeTok enjoyers.

Origin

On November 11th, 2015, the Kevin MacLeod Archive YouTube^[1] channel uploaded the song "Pixel Peeker Polka – faster," garnering over 1.5 million views in 10 years.

On June 16th, 2023, Zombycare released the song "don't touch my pizza >:(" on SoundCloud,^[2] garnering over 39,000 plays in two years. The song borrows or is heavily inspired by the beat from "Pixel Peeker Polka." On July 14th, 2024, YouTuber^[3] nyanwolf released an animation meme based on the song, garnering over 398,000 views in eight months.

The song garnered viral spread throughout 2024, following the release of Nyanwolf's video. For example, on August 24th, 2024, X^[4] user @f4nirl reposted the animation, writing, "Straight up thinking. About this video,,..," garnering over 22,000 likes in seven months.

In December 2024, the song purportedly received an influx of hate on X, with some of the backlash leveled at Nyanwolf. The source of the hate is unclear, with many posts relating to it being deleted.

On December 12th, 2024, X^[5] user @kittycatwolf (Nyanwolf) reposted the video, writing, "In honor of this entire site losing their minds over this vid heres the remastered edition which is in 240p with its original unglitched colors," garnering over 32,000 likes in three months.

On December 15th, TikToker^[6] @funkytrax posted a video set to "Don't Touch My Pizza" in which they show themselves drawing Nyanwolf under the caption, "why is everyone and their mamas on twitter mad at this animation," garnering over a million views in three months.

In March 2025, TikTokers began using the original sound for "Don't Touch My Pizza," largely as a way of further criticizing the song and animation.

For example, on March 15th, 2025, TikToker^[7] @skeleton_2322.3 posted a video to the song captioned "worst fuckass sound of 2025," garnering over 1.4 million views in five days.

On March 16th, TikToker^[8] @henryhenrihenre posted a video to the song calling it one of the "worst songs of all time" alongside "McDonald's In the Pentagon," garnering over 1.2 million views in four days.

On March 17th, X^[9] user @traxfunky posted screenshots of the comment section of their December 2024 TikTok upload in which they shared artwork of Nyanwolf, writing, "slimetok has discovered the 'don’t touch my pizza don’t touch my jelly' song on a video of mine from ages ago and my tiktok has been full of insufferable 12yr boys 😭😭😭 save me," garnering over 6,400 likes in three days. The comments section was notably filled with hateful comments. The poster also shared a DM in which someone wishes death on them.

On March 18th, 2025, TikToker^[10] @slipperine posted a remix of the song that makes it almost entirely unrecognizable, garnering over 940,000 views in two days.
