Don't Kill Yourself You're So Sexy Aha, also known as Nooo You're So Sexy, is a catchphrase and copypasta making fun of men who reply to serious posts by women about their mental health by complimenting their body and trying to flirt with them. This later became a snowclone where people parodied the format.

Origin

On January 15th, 2019, Twitter user @drowzygf^[1] posted a tweet which read "guys r like don’t kill urself ur so sexy aha," gaining over 19,000 retweets and 93,000 likes (shown below).

Spread

Coincidentally, later that day, Twitter user @backwoodbuddha^[2] posted a screenshot of a person sending her that exact message, gaining over 13,000 retweets and 66,000 likes (shown below, left). In the replies to @drowzygf, many users shared screenshots of men making similar comments. For example, user @lollydoll__^[3] tweeted DMs she had received where a guy said she was "too cute to run over" (shown below, right).

Over the following months, the phrase became a snowclone where people replaced "kill yourself" with different verbs. Some popular examples include a June 6th post by @connorkeeks^[4] that gained over 180 retweets and 770 likes (shown below, left). User @ratgirlvevo^[5] posted a joke on June 30th that gained over 120 likes (shown below, right).

On May 16th, 2019, Redditor tennismenace3 made a Just Found Out About Racism variation in /r/niceguys^[6] (shown below).
