On July 19th, 2023, X^[1] user @equine__dentist posted an image of four pigs dancing, writing, "don’t invite me to the function unless this is the vibe," garnering over 180 likes in a 10 months (shown below). This is the earliest known use of the specific phrase as a meme.

Spread

The meme spread over the following months. On August 19th, 2023, iFunny^[2] user wea8kbcfcc7756 posted a version of the meme that gained over 9,900 smiles in nine months.

On September 28th, X^[3] user @equine__dentist posted another example of the meme that gained over 4,000 likes in eight months (shown below, left). On December 15th, X^[4] user @jasminericegirl posted a version of the meme that gained over 45,000 likes in five months (shown below, right).
