Origin
On January 6th, 2026, President Donald Trump spoke at the Trump-Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C as part of a House GOP member retreat.
At the 25-minute timestamp, Trump starts talking on the topic of transgender people competing in sports. He tells a story about meeting with a male football player and a woman flag football player, claiming the man could beat her in a race just by walking. Trump uses this example to express his concerns with transgender athletes competing against cisgender athletes.
President Trump then starts talking about weightlifting records, claiming that a record that stood for 18 years was broken by 112 pounds by a transgender weightlifter. Trump begins to do an impression of a transgender weightlifter. He explains how his wife hates when he does the impression, calling it "un-presidential." He proceeds to do the impression anyway, at one point sticking his tongue out and crossing his eyes in a move that's been compared to an ahegao face.
The speech was made available on the Fox News YouTube[1] channel, gaining over 120,000 views in a day.
